LedgerLeaf

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-11-07

These terms are between you and [Business name - Rob to fill in] (“we”, “us”) and apply to LedgerLeaf, the add-on, this website and the licensing service (together, “the service”). By installing or using the service you agree to them.

1. The service

LedgerLeaf is a Google Workspace add-on for Google Sheets that copies data from a Shopify store you control into your spreadsheet and produces reports. It reads data only; it does not change your Shopify store. It runs in your own Google account and calls Shopify directly using credentials you create and provide.

2. Your account and responsibilities

  • You must have authority to access the Shopify store you connect and to copy its data into your spreadsheet.
  • You are responsible for your Google and Shopify accounts, your Shopify app credentials, and who can access your spreadsheet.
  • You must comply with Shopify’s and Google’s terms and with privacy laws that apply to the customer data you handle.
  • Do not misuse the service: no reverse engineering to bypass licensing, no attempts to disrupt the licensing server, no resale.

3. Plans, trial and billing

  • Free plan: manual sync, last 60 days, up to 500 rows per tab, Orders and Products.
  • Pro: $12 CAD / month (Canadian dollars; applicable taxes may be added), billed monthly in advance through Stripe, with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. The subscription renews automatically until cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage subscription; Pro stays available until the end of the paid period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial months, except where required by law or at our discretion.
  • If a payment fails we allow a short grace period; Pro features then revert to the Free plan until payment succeeds.
  • We may change prices or plan limits on 30 days’ notice by email; changes apply at your next renewal.

4. Reports are not advice

The Canada tax report and profit report are reporting aids only. They are derived from the data Shopify provides and the costs you enter, and may be incomplete or differ from what you must file or record (for example refunded tax, exemptions, registrations, timing and rounding). They are not tax, accounting, legal or financial advice. You are solely responsible for your tax filings and should confirm figures with a qualified professional.

5. Availability and third parties

The service depends on Google, Shopify and Stripe. Changes to their APIs, limits or policies (including Shopify API versions and rate limits and Google Apps Script quotas) may affect the service. We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect. In short, Shopify data stays in your Google account and spreadsheet; we store only your email and subscription status.

7. Intellectual property

We own the service and its software; you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it while you comply with these terms. You own your data and your spreadsheet. “Shopify” and “Google” are trademarks of their owners; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits or data, or penalties and interest arising from tax filings, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or CAD $50 if you are on the Free plan). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and uninstall at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or abuse. On termination your synced data remains in your spreadsheet.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them. We will email subscribers about material changes.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Province - Rob to fill in] and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and the courts of that province have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have.
